Tak was born in Tokyo, but grew up in Milan.  As a teen, he became obsessed with filmmaking after seeing Tim Burton's "Ed Wood."  He studied under John Carpenter and Abel Ferrara and went on to direct films, commercials, music videos, web-series and fashion films, winning several awards in the process. His short films "Clacson" and "Road to Sundance" screened in over 60 Film Festivals worldwide and won more than 20 prizes. Tak was also shortlisted at Cannes Young Director Award for a viral Ford campaign. Today he works on three continents and splits his time between Los Angeles, Milan and Bangkok.
