ARMAND ST SALVY
Armand De Saint-Salvy studied music before switching to a path in film. After graduating with an Honours in Film, he won Screen Australia and Screen NSW short drama funding. He’s made 16 shorts that have screened internationally at festivals, including Flikkerfest, Rotterdam, Aspen, LA Shorts, Tropfest, St Kilda, and Onescreen. His professional break was directing launch promos for tentpole TV shows.
His work won several Gold awards at the PROMAX USA awards. He transitioned into directing TVCs when his spot, “Manchild,” was a finalist in the Doritos Crash The Super Bowl competition. His subsequent TVC work has since won a span of awards. He was the first winner of the “Wildcard” development stream through Screen Australia for his feature screenplay “Escape From Year Zero” which won subsequent story development funding.
He has several features in development. Armand spent years studying acting and teaches dance as a hobby. He directed So You Think You Can Dance, Idol of Australia, and other dance-focused shows. He is an excellent dancer as well. His production company is called Supafir in currently warm Australia, and he shoots all over the world. He also partners with an VFX house in Australia and Los Angeles called ALTVX.
