Dan began performing and directing comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) while attending The School of Visual Arts, where he earned a BFA in Film/TV Directing. While in New York, Dan directed dozens of sketches and music videos for UCB house teams, CollegeHumor, and FunnyorDie. In 2012, he was Nominated for a Webby Award for “Best Comedy Short or Individual Episode” for his viral video “The Man Without a Facebook”.

Most recently, Dan's been working with BuzzFeed Motion Pictures where he wrote and directed their most successful branded series, Puppyhood, which has over 250 million views. While at BuzzFeed, Dan also worked with their most popular unscripted franchise talent, The Try Guys, and developed & directed several successful branded campaigns with them.
Dan’s also directed commercials for a bunch of other clients you've heard of like Purina, Gillette, Ford, Warner Bros, Amazon, Kia, the CW, NBC Universal, Lifetime, Comcast Xfinity, and more...like Hot Pockets.
