Helge Gerull was introduced to visual storytelling at the age of 7 when he was given his first still camera. While growing up in Hamburg, Germany, he studied Art, Engineering and photography, all of which helped mold his style of entertaining and humanistic filmmaking.

 

As a Cinematographer with a strong Production Design background, Helge has shot hundreds of award-winning commercials, feature films and music videos. Given this wealth of experience, his transition to Directing is a natural progression. Capturing magical human moments in an immersive environment that becomes part of the storytelling is what Helge does best. Helge lives in Los Angeles.
