Alejandro Montoya Marin was born in Laredo, Texas and raised in Merida and Monterrey, Mexico. He degreed in Marketing at the Universidad del Norte in Monterrey, studied directing at Vancouver Film School and finally moved to Albuquerque for a position at Telemundo. Since then, Alejandro has directed commercials for clients such as Walmart, The Mexican soccer team, Walgreens, Adobe, Wise Pies and New Mexico Forestry. His narrative work includes: Intrepido (2009), The Princess and the Musician (2013), The Joneses (2014), Low/Fi (2015), Monday (2016) and Leslie (2016). His films have screened in dozens of festivals including Cannes, Raindance, Napa Valley and Hollyshorts. Alejandro has also directed many music vídeos for bands such as Sleigh Bells, Chikita Violenta, Motopony, Grimlin and Stem Ivory.  Alejandro is currently in pre-production for a pilot and his first feature film. He splits his time between LA and New Mexico.
